From some of Muriel Joseph George's early work in California is this detailed piece called Marie Antoinette. She is 5.25" tall and is elegantly dressed with her matching parasol and headpiece of lace and roses. THe delicate lace on this piece is in good condition, with minimal breakage on the ruffle edge of the fan. The lace in the hairpiece is excellent. The leaves in the headpiece are chipped on the ends...the rose and rosebud are perfect. The leaves on the parasol are perfect, and this rose may have a minimal chip on the bottom edge, but it is not noticeable. The crazing on this piece is normal for one of this age...she most likely is from the 1950s which would make her 65-70 years old. She includes the original silver/black Josef Originals California oval label and the silver/black name label, both in excellent condition.
