Definitely from another era, this piece depicts an elegantly dressed lady doing needlepoint. Standing 7.5" tall, she is part of the "A Mother's World" series and is shown on page 74 of Josef Originals A Second Look by Jim and Kaye Whitaker (1996). She is in excellent shape with no chips or dings. The valuation from this older reference book is $110-120.
Additional information....Other pieces in the "A Mother's World" series are Mending A Doll, Going to Church and Rocking a Baby, all of which are 7.5" tall. I personally have seen (and sold) "Going to Church" and the detail with this series is beautiful. There must be a few others in the series, as there is a mention about other pieces being pictured in Book 1, pages 82 and 83. Unfortunately, I do not have the first reference guide and have never seen it. The hunt continues!!!
