THIS PIECE HAS BEEN SOLD PREVIOUSLY AND IS LISTED FOR REFERENCE ONLY....

One of Muriel's earliest and revered series is the Pedestal Girls.  I have never figured out for sure how many are in the series, (and several have more than one color option), so know that each is special and you may find a color version that you just love....OR that you need them all.  This is Cherie, in blue (also in green), and she looks like she's just picked flowers from her flower garden with the gold trowel in her left hand.  Muriel's fine and detailed workmanship is so apparent in this series.  They have a "bygone, years past" feeling that makes them a cherished acquisition for any collector.  This Cherie is in our Odd Lot/Orphan section at a reduced price due to the damage she has on the back side.  There is a hairline crack that extends from the underside of her skirt and down to the base.  It continues up to her back edge of the bonnet.  I cannot feel it at all from the inside.  There are two dings to the bottom back edge of her skirt.  Please see all the photos for a complete inspection.  From the front, she looks amazing for her age (probably pushing 70-75 years), with a very minimal amount of crazing.  Her picked bouquet of flowers are delicate and actually porcelain on wire stems that makes them more fragile than just attached to the porcelain body.  The gold detail is bright and shiny and has not lost its brilliance.  I SOLD her for $50 plus our flat rate shipping to anywhere in the continental US.  She displays beautifully!
