"Happiness" is another vintage Josef Originals piece that was produced early in Muriel Joseph George's career. This is a California piece which would date it sometime between 1945-1962. She stands 4" tall and has both the Josef Originals California label in gold/black and the title label "Happiness." The bottom of the piece is incised with Josef Originals and also has felt circles glued to it by the original owner. Happiness is listed in Josef Originals A Second Look by Jim and Kaye Whitaker on page 11 and is valued at $45-55.
Additional information...the volume referenced above is from 1996, so the valuation is reflective of that time and most likely would be different today. Other pieces in the unnamed series are "For Baby", "Merry Christmas", and "Happy Wedding".
