Whether Muriel named this the Pedestal Girls or not is still in question...But this is Renee, on of several beautiful ladies that are made on a "pedestal." Renee is 5.5" tall and is in exceptional condition. She is part of the California era (1945-1962) which was Muriel Joseph George's earliest years of production. She includes the original oval gold/black Josef Originals California label, the gold name label and the incising on the bottom. Her finish is prefect and she has no chips, dings, repairs or manufacturers defects. She is for sale for $95 plus our flat rate shipping to anywhere in the continental US. She is part of a group, some of which are Charmaine (rose colored dress), Yvette (lavendar), Cherie (green and blue versions), Gigi (mauve), Simone (blue with an apple), Denise (white with gold) and Gabriella (teal)... and there may be others. Some of the mentioned pieces are shown in the latest reference guide (2008) by Jim and Kaye Whitaker at $100-110. Others are shown in previous year editions at $ 85-95. She is a great piece at the $95 price.
