    The "must have" for a "birthday girl"*!*

    My granddaughters look forward to these dolls at each birthday, and there was a time when I could not locate ANY Josef Birthday dolls for my four granddaughters, and I began to panic. Then it was suggested to me that I check online. Thank goodness that Pam is continuing to sell these dolls. My NINETEEN YEAR OLD granddaughter said to me last year, after receiving hers from us (her parents said there would be no more birthday parties after 18) " Grandma, it just didn't seem like it was my birthday until I got my birthday doll*!*"

    Beautiful Age 14 Doll

    I give one of these dolls to each granddaughter every birthday. They love them and look forward to getting one for their collection. In the last few years, I have had difficulty finding the dolls in the Hallmark Card Shop. The service in shipping and the quality of the dolls are great. I ordered several so that I would not have to do this again for a while. Very pleased with company and product.

    I started ordering the Josef's Angels 13 years ago and the dolls at that time were more embellished with gold, handpainting on the skirts, more intricate detailing. The faces were prettier as well. The one's that I ordered 14, 15, 16, 17) look pretty much the same except for the item in their hands and the number. I wish I had not ordered so many however I want to complete the collection for family member.

    HI Dee...this is Pam from JosefDolls.com. I totally understand your question and concern. This might explain what has happened...the dolls and rights to the name were sold in the 1980s with the agreement that no new pieces would be made with the Josef Originals name. The only pieces that can be made are to be made with Muriel Joseph George's original molds. The molds...now 30 some years later are getting smoother and less detailed all the time. Muriel insisted on the painting to be done "her way"....which is what we see in the vintage pieces prior to 1985. I wish there was a way to return to that level of expertise. SO, I continue to sell the dolls that are manufactured today to thousands of satisfied customers. Vintage dolls ARE out there.
