This piece is titled French Lace and is part of an unnamed series. It stands 8.75" tall. The figure is in good condition, but does have a few spots where the lace is damaged. Look carefully at the photos to find them. More apparent is the repaired mandolin handle right about his left hand. In priistine condition, French Lace is valued at $190-225 and is shown on page 72 in Josef Originals 3rd Edition (2008) by Dee Harris and Jim and Kaye Whitaker. Because of the flaws, this excellent example of Muriel Joseph George's attention to color and detail..and one of her largest pieces...is available for $50 plus $11.99 flat rate shipping to anywhere in the continental United States. Thanks for looking!
Additional notes....this piece is shown in the reference books with "Lady at writing desk" and "At Home," but there is no series listed. By the size, style and hair styles, they appear to be of the same time frame and series.
